Dental Implants In Atlanta

If you live in Atlanta and are considering getting dental implants to replace either one or all of your teeth, then you should set up a consultation with The Atlanta Dental Group PC.  This dentistry practice is able to provide you with both the dental implant surgery as well as the restoration services themselves.  All of this is done by by Dr. Mark Allan Padolsky.  He is actually one of the senior dental implant dentists in the Atlanta area.  Thanks to his extensive training, he is able to design, create and place the crown and bridge work, which is the actual dental implant that your dentures go on top of.  This is very rewarding in that it allows for just one dentist to be in control of both phases of your implant reconstruction surgery.  Herein you should find that your decision making process  is actually simplified since you can simply go to just one office in order to receive all of your care.

During the dental implant surgery you will have your dental implant screwed into a special site that has already been prepared in your bone.  All that is needed in order for this short procedure, which usually only takes between 30 minutes to an hour, is a local anesthesia.  Herein you will have precise holes, that are known as osteotomies, prepared in places wherever there is adequate bone.  You will then have an implant that exactly matches each of your osteotomies screwed into these spaces that have already been prepared.  This will then be covered with gum tissue so that it can be quietly integrated into your surrounding bone.

Unfortunately, the majority of dental insurance companies will not cover dental implants.  Thankfully though, the Atlanta Dental Group PC has been able to establish good relationships with several local finance companies in order that a lot of the practice’s patients who truly want and need to have this type of a procedure performed are able to get the care that they need.

Patients who get dental implants want to look good.  They also want to be able to easily chew their food.  These are just a few of the reasons why dental restoration surgery is so very important to these people.  If you are one of these people though, you do need to realize that after the surgical placement you are going to have to wait for between 6 to 12 months for the bone to grow onto and around your new implants.  Once this time period has passed, the tops of your gums will then be exposed in order that a post can then be placed into them.  An impression will then need to be taken of this post so that a crown or bridge can be constructed for you at a dental laboratory.  After all of this is done, your final restorations will then placed onto these posts in the same way that normal dental restorations are done.  Of course, as aforementioned, all of this is done by Dr. Padolsky himself.
